Live The Apocalypse At SDCC With The Walking Dead Escape

posted in: Style & Culture | 0

It seems every year during SDCC, the events scheduled at Petco Park keep getting better and better, and this year they didn’t hold back once again. Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, is bringing a zombie filled obstacle course to the masses entitled The Walking Dead Escape.

If you have ever wanted to experience a Zombie Apocalypse, this is for you but within the confines of a baseball stadium. Basically, there are three ways to participate in this fun filled apocalypse. Participants can be a Survivor and climb, crawl, slide, cry, flee, and scurry through the zombie covered evacuation zone; a Walker that has a purpose to torment the survivors in the zone,  or a Spectator who observes and cheers on Walkers or Survivors. This is not necessarily a race. If you are unlucky and get infected by a zombie, you still get to finish the course. There is no prize for finishing first or fast, but it is more for the fun and experience.
Currently, to become a Walker is sold out but Survivors and Spectators still have a chance to experience this awesomeness. As an extra perk, all Walkers and Survivors get an Exclusive Special Edition of the 100th Issue of The Walking Dead that showcases on the cover Petco Park and what they just hopefully escaped from. Spectators get a poster of the cover.
