Genre-bending music artist M.I.A. known worldwide for her Slumdog mega-hit Paper Planes, writes songs about the common man. And what’s more common than being stuck on a customer support line?
Inspired by three hour calls to Verizon’s help line, the singer wrote the aptly titled “I’m Down Like Your Internet Connection”, included on her forthcoming album, Kala. Even better, she has actual Verizon workers sing on the song.
We can’t wait to hear the Muzak version the next time we’re on hold.
