Tattoo-winner

Congrats to Jeff L of Saginaw, Texas. Nice work! You can see more of Jeff’s progress on the Kidrobot Discussion Boards.

…and keep submitting your toy-related tattoos to the Flickr pool so we can all see it!

This weekend I went to the Paradise Tattoo Gathering. I made my way to the convention to get a jellyfish piece by Tattoo Dunny Series artist and surrealism painter, Nick Baxter.

“The Gathering” is a special type of tattoo convention set in the back woods of Massachusetts. Not the type of place you’d expect to see the industry’s heavyweights walking around, but surprisingly, it works very well.

Guy Aitchison, Joe Capobianco, Nick Baxter, Nikko, Bob Tyrell, Big Gus and Shawn Barber are just some of the amazing artists on the roster. Aside from the constant buzz of needles, the weekend is also filled with panels and seminars focusing on the art of tattooing.

You see all kinds of work at conventions like these but I was still surprised to see someone with a Dunny tattoo! And not just Dunny, but Labbit and McSupersized too! Now that’s dedication.

I’m sure there are a lot more toy tattoos out there, so let’s see them! Any tattoos inspired by the work of artists in the toy scene (they don’t have to be Kidrobot artists.)

Add them to this Vinyl Toy Tattoos flickr pool and while you’re at it, drop a comment on this page describing it so it’s easy for everyone to find when they visit the KRonikle later.

Tattoo Dunny by Joe Capobiancop.s. Just to make things a little more fun, I’ll give away a (sorry) unboxed Joe Capobianco Dunny from the Tattoo Series to my favorite entry on October 8!
