After making an appearance at the Kidrobot Dallas Grand Opening, neo-soul goddess Erykah Badu paid a visit to the KR offices in NYC to meet the minds behind the scenes. Being one of those minds, I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet her.
Ms. Badu noticed my t-shirt, adorned with cassette tapes, and said to me, “I’ve got to sign your shirt.” She studied it for a moment before signing her name and “Badu Mixtape” on the cassette sitting over my heart. Let’s just say I was thankful for the wardrobe choice I made that morning!
I’m a huge fan of Ms. Badu’s music, and it was truly awesome to tell her so. But it was just as awesome to learn that she’s a fan of something that I’m a part of.
