American artist, Chris Burden is a living legend in the world of conceptual art and his most recent work, Metropolis II is nothing short of brilliant. This kinetic sculpture is an enormous race track with 12,000 match box cars relentlessly darting around corners with amazing precision and blurring speed. I am not sure if it is the nostalgia of the toy cars, the genius of its engineering or the subliminal social commentary but there is something about it that makes you want to waste a small bit of your Tuesday contemplating toys and life.

What do you think Chris is trying to say with this incredible art work?
