Internationally known for her award winning paper works, Colombian artist Miriam Londoño takes inspiration from the streets with her series Urban Calligraphy.
She explains, “Graffiti is an urban calligraphy that mainly expresses social and political messages. It is similar to a scream, a voice that wants to be heard at all costs. I love the way Graffiti’s testify with their beautiful colours and expressive lines, the desires, repressions, feelings, the resistance towards our society.”
