what the f**k 50$ for one blind box …..u guys are trippin…

    • the dooderino

you obviously have never purchased original art before

  2. rustedhalo

and just think…if my design was never pulled from the series this would be 100x worse. I love how this community only gets together to talk ish about stuff. Like ArdabusRubber said, no passion here anymore unless it's a fight.

  3. ArdabusRubber

nobody from CTU taked ish about MW. We only have love for other artists.

I'm gonna start trolling my own threads and badmouthing my own art… it's obviously great promotion. I never see passion around here any more unless it's a fight.

    The Circus is burning….

  4. Jared

We're all just artists doing our thing. I don't know who any of the people talking trash are and who cares. Just keep working and enjoy what gets made.

  5. Manny Rivas

FYI Jessica, we're not hating or personally attacking anyone. If anything we're trying to show some of the production companies out there that there is amazing talent on the KR boards, as I'm sure that is what CTU was trying to accomplish. I seriously have not idea why the hate is shifting towards our series when our artists have been nothing but respectful to what CTU is doing.

  6. Manny

Wait. Now you guys are talking ish about the MW series? Two artists used water decals of their own design along with hand painting them, because those particular designs were so very detailed and we wanted them to look as clean as possible. And do you know how hard it is to work with water decals??? Ask any respectable artist who has used them and they’ll probably tell you that by the time you get it right, you wanna just set it on fire cause so you’re so stressed. And if any artist uses them it’s only to make whatever they’re doing look as clean as possible all while still using their own original design, not because they’re lazy. That’s great if you guys think otherwise, hey, to each his own, but don’t go put our series and artist’s down by calling them lazy. I wish you guys much success in the future, and congratz on everything, but encouraging sh!t talking from others because it deflects the sh!t talking others are doing to you is just disrespectful. I wasn’t going to post anything in regards to this mess, but I’m not going to stand by while people start bad mouthing our series. Please guys, let’s keep things civil. I’m sorry some idiot is talking major crap about you guys, I really am, but that’s no need to encourage someone who’s talking crap about us. We respect what you did, so don’t disrespect what we did. Thanks.

    • B.A.L.D.

I agree w/ you Manny, one douche from the KR forums doesn't represent everyone and I dig MW 2 , hope is does great.

  7. Jessica

yes there is hate, looks like the people from the other series comming on here to start problems? really? on the toy scene? get over it! you do not run this, this is for everyone, dont start beef with people if you cannot finish it, hiding behind a computer, LOSERS! its just so silly, grown men acting like little kids, crying about this and that, get over it, you dont like dont buy or look! i hate to get paint spilled on my work when its in a show.

at the end of the day you can see why this scene is slowly dying, alot of kids in here think they are king buying cheap art calling themshelfs collectors. Real art cost $$$, this is a art scene no? who in here has a canvas worth over 5,000.00 and call yourself a real collector!

And to the people not doing this for they money, i hope the next series or singles they are $10.00 each. if not stfu!

    -Jess

    • shauni55

I'd click the thumbs up on the side I feel typing out +1 makes me cooler

    • Jim

Lady, nobody is crying here. The people crying is just the artists that not accept criticism.

I just show my opinion. It's difficult to understand for you? I believe these artists are good persons, and they make others amazing customs, BUT i don't have to agree with this specific work. So simple. Why the stress?

Ok, i don't like some MW customs too!! And I don't like a lot of produced Dunnies too!
But i like some MW, some CTU e some regular Dunnys.

      It's call DEMOCRACY.

      • Jessica

So why do you keep talking then? Listen if you cant speak or write english you should not even be here #1.

is it to hard for YOU to understand that no one cares of you and your opinion, same goes for those others with ''constructive criticism''. Stop trying to rain on them, its so uncalled for and childish! You cowards should be ashamed. its not your business what goes on.

look at Mostwanted did not artist use stickers, idk the facts but was that not lazy? atleast this guy PAINTED his works. really your guys are too much, life is beautiful, check it

        -jess

        • Trenton

Don't stress on Jim, he's gettin to many laughs out of this thread already. Just some turd sittin back pressin everyone's buttons. I do agree about the water decals however. It is strictly my opinion but I feel like painting on details is far better than just printing them off of your home inkjet, spayin a little bit of gloss coat on, then just stickin your lines on. My stuff may not be the cleanest in the world but at least I know that I painted every last detail. Watching people stick on filigree drives me crazy because I paint all of mine. Still, this just my opinion.

        • Jim

Take a cup of tea, Jess, ahaha

But i agree, stickers in that MW was an horrible and fraudulent option.

        • Chauskoskis

i wasn't planning to reply any of all this madness and nonsense stuff till i read this last post…

"Listen if you cant speak or write english you should not even be here #1. " ??? really? why is that? since when Kronikle or any blog or site put frontiers to foreign people who talk a different language? thats so naive to say..

"s it to hard for YOU to understand that no one cares of you and your opinion" ?? c'mon more than half of this posts were in reply to what this guy said.. . if i don't care, i don't reply at all… NO?

"look at Mostwanted did not artist use stickers, idk the facts but was that not lazy?"

you write about this guy JIM hate and talk trash.. but you just did the same… A MW artist lazy? but you said you don't know the facts… so, don't talk trash… if you don't know the amount of job that is behind that custom you are talking about better don't mention it… i have done a few time that sticker technique and i can tell it takes more time than some of my just painted customs.. again.. you just did the same thing that this guy Jim did…

As you see below in last "Jim post", he hates the stickers same as you… so your much the same…

To the CTU crew, much love, hopefully next time i can be aboard.

Sorry if i offend anybody with my crappy english -SARCASM-

          Chaus

        • Jess

For me If he cannot speak the language and i cannot understand him, he should NOT be on an english forum? correct? im talking about this guy, noone else, its just towards him, please dont bring those fights in here.

your right, i do not know of the facts with Mostwanted, but who is not to say that the sticker custom VS the minimalist approach is right? its all art! none are right.

i just looked at the mostwanted blog and the newest post looks like an attack at this series, yes its hate. i will not bother with this anymore, i have a life to get to.

good luck everyone! hope you all make your dreams come true regurdless anyone says

          -jess

        • Chauskoskis

or me If he cannot speak the language and i cannot understand him, he should NOT be on an english forum? correct?

but you obviously understand all what he said, right? so whats the issue with his language?

The MWS2 post had a different meaning, not to CTU.

          -sigh- kids…

        • igor ventura

I've already talked with Trent and sorted everything out between us. No hard feelings. I'm not jealous at all, I was just the only person honest enough to give my sincere opinion and tried make some construtive criticism. It was aimed towards the CTU team, and as far as I know, it was welcome.
I'm brazilian, but just so you know, "your right" isn't right. the same with "yes its hate". But I understand you anyway…
garota doida que não sabe de nada…

        • Trenton Matthews

sorry guys. I'm really, really not tryin to bash on the MW series. The water decal thing is something that I'm on the fence with myself. I actually went to the hobby store to purchase some a while back but just decided to scrap it because of multiple reasons. I can agree that the decals look extremely clean, they're just not my cup of tea. I tried to make it clear that this was strictly an opinion on my part. I truly mean that as well.
PS…Igor is a stand up mofo. Actually talked to me in person..well…as close to person as you can get when you live in two different countries.
No disrespect to my decal usin homies out there. Good on yah for the cleanliness. I do totally remember how much of a b*tch those things were to use when I was building model airplanes and what not when I was a kid.
I think we need to do a MW/CTU collabo series. That could help squash all this BS and I would be hella down. All you're gettin from me is a lilac dunny with some scribblings on it though, Hahahahaha.

  8. Jessica

The CTU series has 21 customs left, so what? Most Wanted sold out in 1min 30s, so what?

Nothing around like this before and Most wanted was way back last year. We are in a global recession and the scene is dying down with all these other toy companies comming out with great figures. I feel they did just fine!

What will happen when Most Wanted makes another series and its does not sell out? what will be the argument then? or what if a new group of people make another series? will people go after them?

Mostwanted sold out quick scince most people wanted to buy to flip, just like kidrobot, now the toys cost money and nobody flips, the shelves are full! its all hype!

  9. Trenton Matthews

I think they're stupid. look how he just painted it. how dumb, he really is dumb. oh my god becky, did you see that girl's butt…I know, she must be dating one of those "rap" guys.

  10. Trenton Matthews

Love you CTU crew! Fukc the haters. go on a let em hate.

  11. Trenton Matthews

I fukcing hate this board. People are such sht heads. Peace out turds, I'm off to make customs that I enjoy.

    • Jim

You not too bright. You think you Huck Gee or great artist, but not. You no genious, purple thing not good. If you do things for you, why you put in series?

      • Trenton

Not a big fan of Mr. Gee's work although it is VERY clean. I like my purple guy and really don't care what you think if I haven't made that crystal clear already. I put it in the series just so we could meet on here and talk about it. Looks like it worked.

  12. Trenton Matthews

I not hide befront of sum breaked inglish an nonspellling of wurds. me smort naught dum. you dunnie no good my kolekshun is way tite. no rum 4 thees not gud deezines. I call asshat on this guy.

  13. fail2evolve

damn, jim's english grows by leaps and bounds if you poke him. what's your real boardname, pursy?

  14. Teimaru

Jim, i just don't understand why such hate from your part .
I think sharing opinions is good, but in your case you're just trying to let down the CTU, and destroy their image. What a poor behaviour.
As for me, there are a bunch of great designs on this serie, and the trenton mattews is simple but really great. IF you had dropped one you could have sent to me instead of crying for your money back …
Anyway, i think you should look for something better to do in your empty life, than sharing your sterile hate here and there.
Or look for a psychiatrist to try to help you.
    C'mon Kid !

    • Jim

Teimaru, i not hate anyone. Just don't like some customs of CTU.

      SO SIMPLE, no?

BTW, i like the custom from Troy Sith, Motorbot and FAS. I have doubt about the others.

It's difficult to understand or you want I make a sketch??

      • Trenton Matthews

i want you make sketch. you many have opinions no art tallent you show yet though.

  15. Jim

The numbers said the reality: there are still 21 Blind Boxes available in the CTU site.
If I not wrong, that other custom series on the KRboard sold out em 1min30!!!

The people REALLY love this series? a good question.

    Facts, facts and facts.

  16. 10years

There's a BOOM Sket One Dunny in series 2010 that KR hasn't showed yet for some reason. It has the same ears as the Troy Stith Dunny, just different design.

    • Jim

I don't agree with this. It's like a coincidence, and the concept is different, kid.

  17. Trenton Matthews

I wouldn't pay for my own work either. :) Come on man, don't you know that gay-satanism is the new hot pink? That sht is pure gold, worth ten million bucks already on "Idontgiveaflyingfukcaboutyouropinionbay" You need to do your research son cause I've been hustlin customs for like a year now and I'm pretty sure that I know everything there is to know about everything. I mean,…do you know who I am? Hahahaha J/K. But seriously it took me like three months to paint those chases so you kinda hurt my feelings. I come on these boards to smile not frown. You should say something nice to turn my frown upside down.

    • shauni55

I'm sorry Trent I've always supported and loved your work but that chase is garbage man… Purple base coat with maybe 10 min worth of wait marker? (if it is paint marker) youre supposed to want to go after a chase but if i got that Id be pissed even if it is the only one (idk how many there are)

      • Jim

Wow, Shauni, 10 min?? you are a gentleman.
I make the purple base in 3min12sec… So, to make a "star"and a "skull", more 1m34sec.

        • shauni55

So why would you put it up as a chase, or even in the series in the first place?

        • shauni55

Sorry didn't read the name haha… why would anyone possibly put this into a series that is being sold for 50$

        • Trenton Matthews

Oh sorry Shauni. Forgot you're my art director/manager and that I need to route my work through you first. I did this as a minimalist approach to balance the over sculpting/re-purposing that's goin on in the custom world right now. Also Shauni,…don't you think you should acquire at least a tad bit of skill before calling my work "garbage"? If you can deal out foul criticism like that then I guess the gloves are off. I've seen you're work and all of it is sht. You whine and cry when no one will comment on it(your "work") and then when they do comment, which I notice usually ends up in a critique of some sort you just whine some more.
Generally I wouldn't take the time to respond to such blatant ignorance but really guys? Give it a rest if yah don't like it oh well, I do this for ME not to sell a bunch of sht to people that don't want it. If you pull one and aren't happy, throw the thing in the trash, re-paint it and sell it if you can do better, I don't care what you do. I painted it the way I wanted to and that's that. I didn't come up with the price point for this series either so take that up with someone else. Quite frankly, I wasn't even gonna put the "skull" on the back but whatever. You guys would have hated either way.

        • Trenton

Jesus you guys. I'm just fukcing around. If you can't take a kick to the nuts in stride then it's time to throw in the towel. I'm not ready to give up so whatever. This guy "Jim" is only stirring the crap pot and that's just plain childish. So, I am responding with equal intelligence.
What Shauni said was an insult and not constructive in any manner. If you check around you'll see he's a notorious pot stirrer too. Don't come on here callin my work "garbage" if you aren't gonna confront me in person with a way to fix what you see as "wrong". I'm easily accessible. I'm not trying to hide behind some silly avatar or what not. If you wanna chat then get at me.

        • fail2evolve

aw, i hope you don't think i'm an over sculptor.

    • Igor Smolii Migliano Ventura

A gay satanist is not my cup of tea, but could be an interesting idea if well developed. but I agree with Shauni, that custom is more like a doodled dunny, and if I've paid US$50 for a blind box and got that, I wouldn't be very pleased…

      • Trenton Matthews

Hells yes! I'm getting more press than anyone else on here! I love it!!

  18. Koga

ok these dunnys look cool and all but there's no way I would pay $50 for a 3 inch dunny

    • Mike

These are handpainted figures, as with any custom, they are not production dunnys, you are paying for original artwork , i understand this scene makes ''AFFORDABLE ART" and anyone can be a collector, art cost money, if you want toys then buy toys, this is art.

    • fail2evolve

a 3"er from a lot of these artists would cost more than fifty. from some artists, they cost a lot more.

      • B.A.L.D.

That is a very fair price for a custom Mike, many pay much more and most artists in the series took a cut in their regular fee to be in the series.

  19. lynxed

I really like the Fried Gold one, nice color choice and I have a weakness for robots. The ‘low battery’ variant with blue instead of green is pretty cute as well.

  20. igor ventura

I agree with you, BALD. “To merely tear something down and not offer a better alternative is merely destruction” indeed. And I’ve read those guidelines you mentioned. In fact, I was the first to give you guys cheers for creating that topic, when you posted about it on facebook.

But despite the fact that Jim’s first language isn’t english (as far as he says) and his comments may sound like they are from Borat, “FAS is good as well others. But in the others customs, we have lines without precision!!! It’s essential in a custom. I not blind!”, isn’t telling you something? I mean, don’t want to be a douche, and I know how hard it is to be precise with a 3″, specially when you’re doing a full batch of them. But I honestly think that some extra effort would just do good.

And I’ll say it again, criticism is the best way to evolve. I know, it hurts your ego, but when you learn to swallow your pride and just try to see what someone’s telling you, your work will improve. Even if it’s already good.

    • B.A.L.D.

Igor, I respect your opinion but this …face guy goes too far, even with his language barrier the intent is not helpful it is slanderous: "I think that guys make that Customs in a half hour"

        • Trenton Matthews

no, not really. Like I said before. It took me like one or two months to paint that. It was the most difficult thing I have ever created.

        • B.A.L.D.

No by all means feel free Igor, I respect the hell out of your work. You are better at details than most, I may be better than some, everyone is at different levels and style of this stuff so it is all really in the eye of the beholder.

        • Jessica

What about your series with stickers instead of paint? Mind your OWN business and not everyone esle. Why do you insist on starting drama? Are you not an artist, this makes yourself look like a fool, jealousy brings out the worst in all.

          -Jess

        • igor ventura

I've already talked with Trent and sorted everything out between us. No hard feelings. These guys are awesome. I love Troy Stith's piece

  23. Jim

Ok, mr. BALD. Your custom and the others are PERFECT. Congratulations!!!

Great “assassins” concepts, amazing original ideas, clean and precise lines, fine finishing!!!!

    o/ o/ o/ o/ o/

BTW, thanks for your politeness. Good for a great artist.

    • itsme

      cmon jim,
theyre just kiddies and you tell em that their drawings are not good? no wonder why they start crying.

    • B.A.L.D.

…face, you must be a sad little person. I pity you.

  24. pocketwookie

I'm fine with a critique. dril one called me out on some work awhile back, and rightfully so. He was right, I could do better. And I did. Some folks will like my work. Some won't. I'm doing it for the people who do.

That being said, just because someone doesn't like what I do, they shouldn't assume I didn't put time into the effort. Andy Warhol had a lot of critics in his time, most just didn't get his work. Before I spent much time studying him, I felt that way as well. Now, however, I happen to think he did some pretty brilliant things. Not that I'm comparing any of us to Warhol, but you get the point.

Critics will come out and complain about pretty much whatever. "The sunrise today really seemed like a half-hearted effort. Uninspired and expected." It's all part of the game.

  25. Mic

Jim, your writing and ignorance is offensive. Use spell and grammar check before you blast your stupidity in public posts.

    • Jim

I not speak english well. I from Italy. Ignorance is call anyone "stupid" without knowledge.

  26. Igor Smolii Migliano Ventura

Guys, I really think your hard work is impressive. However, haven't you JUST created a topic in CTU's site that is all about accepting criticism? Sorry to say, but calling Jim a douche just because he voiced his opinion isn't making justice to that topic, don't you think?…
Anyway, congrats for the feature on KRonikle! ;)

    • B.A.L.D.

Igor, I encourage you to take a look at the guidelines for a good critique: .

Jim's statements are not helpful or insightful they are merely ignorant hatred by a known D-bag …face.

        • fail2evolve

nope, face is a boardie who won't say the things they do on a real boardname…because they're a pansy.

  27. B.A.L.D.

Thanks KRonickle for the love! "Jim" your a douche, in the words of Michael Scott…shut it.

    • Jim

A true artist accept critics. I not offend nobody, just the work.

      • B.A.L.D.

"To merely tear something down and not offer a better alternative is merely destruction"

        • Jim

A better alternative is eBay. Somebody can give one better home to this.

  28. Jason

No droppixel, Jim is wrong. I got some and they are awsome. I got one of the 2 FAS dunny’s. It rocks. Cant wait to try and collect them all.

    • Jim

FAS is good as well others. But in the others customs, we have lines without precision!!! It's essential in a custom. I not blind!

    • droppixel

      I wasn't agreeing with him…that was a sarcastic "Really?"

I think that was a pretty crappy comment for him to make for those that didn't pick up on that…

  29. pocketwookie

Thanks for the hype! Awesome series and fantastic artists. Thanks to CTU for all their hard work making this happen, and a big thanks to the fans for their support.
