As a purely commercial culture we need more ppl that can shift the way we view being exposed to constant commercial bombardment. Everything we touch is branded and advertised. Corporations ruthlessly exploit our environment and our weaknesses as gullible consumers. They make us believe we need to consume and in reality we don't, they create a desire for objects out of thin air through successful marketing. we are all brainwashed from birth. Anyone that can make a point of view with a pencil and a piece of paper and have thousands of ppl see it and get their idea is a freaking genius.
